For battery fitters
Changed the battery and now the radio says SAFE?
It happens on older VW, Audi, Škoda and SEAT cars every time the power is cut. Order the radio code from the serial and send it to your customer, instead of sending them to the dealer.
Keep the customer happy
The battery job is done properly when the radio works too. No awkward call-back.
Order from your phone
Paste the serial into the quote form from the van. Codes arrive by email.
Save on regular orders
Collect the serials from the week's jobs and order them together: 10% off 3+ radios.
Avoid SAFE on the next job
- Plug in a memory saver (an OBD power supply) before disconnecting the old battery. If the radio keeps power, it stays unlocked.
- Ask the customer for the radio code card before you start. It's often in the service book wallet.
- If someone has already tried wrong codes and the radio shows SAFE 2, it needs an unbroken hour with the ignition on before the right code will work.

Questions
Trade FAQ
The radio is still in the car. Do I need to remove it?
Usually yes, to read the serial label on its casing. Most units slide out with radio release keys. More help: our guide to finding the radio serial number.
How do I pay?
Paste your serials into the bulk quote form and we email you a secure Stripe invoice. Pay it by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the codes are sent once it's paid.
Which radios do you cover?
VW, Audi, Škoda and SEAT factory radios that use a 4-digit code and have a 14-character serial starting VWZ, AUZ, SKZ or SEZ. Not MIB touchscreens with Component Protection.
What if a code doesn't work?
Send us a short video showing the serial label and the code being rejected. Once checked, you get your money back for that code.
